Woodlot Gallery in Sheboygan, Wisconsin is currently showing ten new and recent works by California sculptor David Middlebrook. All works are stone, basalt, granite, and bronze. The new works completed this year address David’s investigation of form and balance with two and three simple elements intersecting stone monoliths. These cast bronze images are both abstract and narrative and have their origins in hand tools and familiar known objects.
